I've joined a gym recently and there is a steam room and a sauna....all I know is that both are hot. Can anyone advise me as to how long I should go, or what its good for?
Answers:
1The largest organ on the human body is skin. One of the most important jobs of skin is to rid our system of toxins which it does everytime you sweat. Sweating is vital to remaining healthy and most people do not do enough sweating in todays soft life to rid their systems of these toxins. Sauna's and steam rooms are a way to increase the amount of sweating. However I never spend more than 20-45 mins in one at a time, as you can overheat and pass out.
