How to build Finnish sauna? | |
Many people have not heard of a sauna and many of those who have find it odd and even dangerous. All of those people are missing out on a healthy and a very simple procedure, which will leave your body feeling fresh and reposed.
If you have tried it once, you will want more and eventually you will want to build one for you to enjoy it whenever you want. Building a sauna is a rather simple procedure. There are special sauna-building kits available you can easily set up in your apartment or house with simple electric heaters. However, the best saunas are built as separate buildings of solid wood and natural stones and natural heating is used. Here is an overview of the things you need to keep in mind when you are considering building a sauna yourself:
- the walls of a sauna should be built of solid wood;
- a real sauna should not be too small – the floor area should be at least 10 m²
- a sauna should be provided with great ventilation – consult an expert when planning your ventilation;
- the light used in the sauna should not be too bright, as the sauna is a place to relax;
- to create steam, fresh natural water is best to be poured on the heater.
